Company Overview

Looking for the next opportunity that is more than just a job? Are you passionate about making a difference for leaders and organizations seeking to take care of the well-being of their employees and teams, enabling them to work at their best, and collaborate efficiently and effectively to achieve challenging goals and get better results faster? Are you excited about impactful technical projects that will enable our biggest enterprise clients to help employees thrive, leaders inspire, and customers express delight? Instinctive Drives® (I.D.™) is a recognized leader in personal and professional growth and team and leadership performance. Our products and consulting services have provided powerful insights and practical strategies to global organizations for 30 years. Using I.D.’s unique I.P., we have helped them unlock people’s natural potential, leverage a diversity of talents, build trust across teams, and speed up delivery of innovative outcomes.

Instinctive Drives is building an immersive experience for clients looking to embed the benefits of the I.D. System within their everyday working life and across their whole organization. I.D. starts with identifying a person’s innate drives and motivations and exactly what they need to be at their best. From this point its applications are endless, generating practical strategies that support personal performance and well-being and providing ways to help diverse people connect, communicate, and collaborate effectively. We will be building tools and technologies that will enable people to work smarter; experience fewer pain-points; implement change more smoothly; attract, grow, and retain talent; and build resilient, agile, high performing teams. This is an exciting and significant expansion of our current offering - we need an exceptional individual to help us deliver it!

Role Overview

In this role, you will own the end-to-end User Experience and champion our customers in everything we do. You will build and own an ambitious, achievable roadmap and think big to dream up innovative features. You will be autonomous, working with a team to drive designs from ideation to delivery. You will collaborate with internal dev teams, stakeholders, and lead customer advisory engagements for research, feedback and usability testing.

This role is not for everyone. At I.D., we don’t just sell a product, we are passionate about walking our talk when it comes to living our best lives and helping others do the same. We thrive on open, honest, and direct conversations that keep things moving forward and help us deliver the best experience to our clients. We seek to leverage our different strengths and working styles and support each other to be role models of innovative collaboration.

The right candidate will have proven user experience design expertise, product management skills, and launching new products end to end. We need you to be versatile, to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You must be comfortable managing competing priorities and bringing order to ambiguity. You will be data-driven and analytical. You will build amazing, engaging and beautiful designs. You will also need to influence and lead, demonstrate great written and verbal communication skills, and be ready to build and navigate relationships with stakeholders and clients up to a senior leadership level.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

High degree of autonomy, flexibility, the opportunity to work with a team passionate about making a difference for others, and endless scope for creativity and innovation. We are a fully virtual team and value work-life balance, focusing on outcomes versus time at the desk.

Your responsibilities will include to:

  • Identify, diagnose, and research product ideas to develop into prioritized, deliverable features, and assess design opportunities.
  • Choose the best design tool to communicate the problem and solution options - prototypes, wireframes, sketches, journey maps, etc.
  • Build prototypes in Figma - sometimes simple static designs, sometimes full-on clickable prototypes for user testing.
  • Translate your designs into defined stories to communicate requirements to team members
  • Rapidly iterate on designs, collaborating with the Engineers to support evolving requirements from problem-identification through to product release.
  • Produce clear, user-centric design optimized for both mobile and desktop.
  • Turn complexity into clarity - bring delight and value to our customers, not just what is asked for.
  • Lead customer interviews on the overall product experience as well as on specific usability tests, taking the stance of empathy and curiosity about the impact on their life.
  • Use research to challenge and validate design decisions in an ongoing development process that strives to make the customer experience better
  • Deliver design standards for scalability and accessibility
  • Stay on top of industry trends

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Design and/or UX design, working with engineers to identify and iterate on the most impactful solutions
  • 3+ years experience building end to end designs and digital assets in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
  • Active listener, both with internal collaboration and external customer interviews. Expert at hearing between the lines
  • Demonstrated skills creating process flows, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, and other product deliverables
  • Working knowledge and experience across the lifecycle of design including visual design, user experience design, accessibility, layout, typography, information architecture, and business acumen
  • Designing and prototyping in Figma
  • Experience building and working with a design system
