Product Designer

Our global software client is seeking a talented and passionate Product Designer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interaction design, prototyping, and visualisation, with a strong understanding of layout strategies, Gestalt principles, and responsive UI design. You will play a crucial role in creating sophisticated animated visualisations and specifying their implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interaction Design & Prototyping: Seamlessly include assets and ideas in visualisations.
• Layout Strategies & UI Design: Apply different layout strategies, Gestalt principles, and responsive UI design.
• Motion Design: Create sophisticated animated visualisations and specify them for implementation.
• Design Systems: Create or extend components and templates.
• Information Architecture: Apply core concepts in information architecture.
• Design Thinking: Utilize design thinking methods with empathy for users.
• Research: Define and conduct user research, and use existing research findings in your work.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively across functions to deliver prioritised work from the roadmap.
• Quality: Maintain a high quality bar for design.

Experience and background:

• 5-7 years of total experience with 3-5 years in design
• Proficient in Jira and able to build knowledge of its complexities.
• Work collaboratively cross-functionally to deliver prioritised work from the roadmap.
• Bring a high quality bar for design components, templates, and guidelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to build trust and influence.
• Rapidly build knowledge of new areas/products.
• Facilitation, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Flexible and friendly approach to working with teams.
• Strive for the best outcomes.

This is a one year contract position, with the flexibility to work remotely.
