Job Title: Mid Level UX Designer

Reports to: UX Manager

Location: BoyleSports, Dundalk / Gibraltar / UK Remote

Role Purpose:

The Mid-Level Product Designer will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our sports, gaming and player account platform, ensuring visually engaging and highly intuitive interfaces across mobile, tablet and web channels. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to the full design lifecycle—from research and ideation to prototyping and final execution—helping to create best-in-class gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities:Design & Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop intuitive, visually appealing interfaces.
  • Create annotated wireframes and user flows, resulting in low-to-high-fidelity prototypes across all channels (mobile, tablet and web) aligned to requirements, problem definition and insights.
  • Collaborate on design reviews and iterate based on feedback to refine and enhance the user experience.
  • Liaise with Product, Design, Technology, and Marketing teams to progressively move from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity designs, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Support storytelling through effective presentation of visual concepts to stakeholders.
  • Provide well-documented and validated design proposals using data, expert analysis, and user feedback to support prioritisation decisions.
  • Carry out usability studies and provide feedback and reporting to the wider UX and Product team including relevant analysis and data to help facilitate championing of the customer.

User-Centred Design:

  • Advocate for the user through human-centred design methods, including discovery research, workshops, interviews, and user testing.
  • Conduct research and usability testing to understand player behaviours, motivations, and pain points, translating insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Use analytics and direct user feedback to iterate on designs, ensuring a balance between visual appeal and functional excellence.

Design Systems & Standards

  • Contribute to and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all digital products.
  • Advocate for best practices in UI/UX design, ensuring accessibility, scalability, and user satisfaction.

Specialist Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing UI design excellence.
  • Interest in the Sportsbook/Gaming industry, with an understanding of what engages customers.
  • Proven background or strong interest in the gaming industry, with an understanding of what engages and retains customers. · Proficiency in UI design and prototyping tools such as Figma and FigJam.
  • Strong grasp of user-centred design methodologies, including research, usability testing, data analysis, responsive design, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
  • Familiarity with lean design and agile methodologies.
  • A diverse toolkit of UX skills and techniques, from workshopping to sketching and prototyping, with the ability to apply the right approach at the right time.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work, communicate progress, and meet deadlines effectively.
