Illustrator – Game

Join an exciting project to create digital backgrounds for a tactical card game set in 5th–4th centuries BCE Italy. The role involves producing vibrant, soft cel-shaded illustrations that will serve as immersive backdrops during gameplay. The art style should feature clean coloring and smooth gradients, capturing the historical atmosphere while maintaining a visually engaging look. You will collaborate with an international indie team to bring the world of 'Ancient Shores: War of Decks' to life. Deliverables

• Design and illustrate a series of digital backgrounds for in-game use, reflecting ancient Italian landscapes and settings.
• Ensure all artwork aligns with the provided visual references and the game's established style.
• Deliver high-resolution, layered files suitable for integration into the game engine.
• Revise and refine illustrations based on feedback from the development team.
• Meet project deadlines and communicate progress regularly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital illustration, preferably for games or interactive media.
• Strong portfolio showcasing background or environment art with vibrant colors and cel-shading techniques.
• Proficiency in digital art software such as Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret historical references and adapt them into stylized, game-ready visuals.
• Excellent attention to detail, color, and composition.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with remote teams.
