3D Character Animator – VTuber Rigging

This role involves creating a fully rigged 3D character designed for use as a VTuber avatar. The character will be used for virtual streaming and must be compatible with live facial motion capture. The project is a personal commission for an inspiring VTuber based in the Philippines, with the potential for future collaboration depending on the quality and success of the initial work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D character creation, particularly with Character Creator 5, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the avatar is expressive and ready for live streaming environments. The position is fully remote, and delivery timelines are flexible and open to discussion. Responsibilities

• Design and model a full body 3D character based on provided references or creative direction
• Rig the character for both body and facial motion capture, ensuring compatibility with VTuber streaming platforms
• Utilize Character Creator 5 for modeling, rigging, and export workflows
• Optimize the character for real-time performance and seamless animation during live streams
• Collaborate with the client to incorporate feedback and achieve the desired visual style and expressiveness
• Deliver all necessary files and documentation for easy integration into the client’s streaming setup

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D character modeling and rigging, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work
• Proficiency with Character Creator 5 and related 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya)
• Strong understanding of facial rigging for motion capture applications
• Ability to optimize 3D assets for real-time use in streaming environments
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
• Availability for remote collaboration and flexible delivery timelines
• Experience with VTuber or virtual avatar projects is highly desirable
