At Stomble we're an exciting startup looking for an experienced Azure AD to join our team. We are a small startup bootstrapping our way forward with a group of eager engineers and designers already with a high level of ambition to build and deliver our MVP product to the world. Our mission at Stomble, is to use innovative technologies to increase economic opportunity.

We're looking for a highly skilled DevOps engineer, who is willing to join and/or help a small scrappy startup, who has experienced everything that we are going through, going to face and potential upcoming pitfalls by lending their advice or skills to our project. Our goal is to be a world class company, with working class knowledge and the ability to tackle all problems head-on.

Why are we looking for an experienced person?

We are opening ourselves up to someone willing donate their time, knowledge and skills to help us learn, grow and develop our incredible product from an idea into a competitive platform that competes at the highest levels and has the pulling power to entice the smartest people to join our mission and vision. In addition, we have struggled to get our product off the ground due to internal problems and we would be looking for experienced people to join our small scrappy startup to help solve those problems and to give us the best chances at success. We need a software engineer who can assist us to get our first released product built and shipped to the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Azure Active Directory (AD) services to ensure smooth and secure access to cloud applications and resources.
  • Administer user lifecycle management, including creation, modification, and deletion of accounts, groups, and roles.
  • Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure AD-related issues and ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure AD with third-party applications and services.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logging.
  • Support the implementation of governance and identity protection policies to minimize risk.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance for security, compliance, and identity management across Azure environments.

Essential Technical Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience as an Azure AD Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience managing Azure Active Directory, including user and group management, SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Domain Services, and hybrid identity environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles and protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation to enhance administrative processes.
  • Experience with Azure security and compliance tools, including Azure Security Center and Microsoft Defender.
  • Knowledge of RBAC, directory synchronization, and AD Federation Services.

Desired Skills:

  • Azure certifications such as Azure AD or Security Engineer certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving identity-related issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft security and identity products.
