Mid-level Graphic Designer

Sans Serif (sansserif.com), a Northern California-based graphic design studio, is seeking a mid-level designer for remote contract/freelance work in Q1/Q2 of 2025. We're looking for someone with at least four years of experience in web visual design/UI for complex, large-scale B2B corporate client projects.

This creative professional is a conceptual, strategic thinker who consistently demonstrates a strong aptitude for simple communications and meaningful design. Experience working within major B2B Fortune 50/100-level brands (particularly in technology, software, medical or finance) is a major plus.

The majority of our work is done in Figma, so fluency in that software is critical. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is also important. 

Due to the geographic distributions of our team, candidates in the US Pacific, Mountain and Central time zones will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

•  Design visuals that align with creative briefs and client needs.

•  Develop user-friendly digital/website concepts that simplify complex issues.

•  Prepare drafts and present ideas in internal meetings.

•  Adhere to brand style guides to ensure consistency in typography, photography, and graphic elements.

•  Produce wireframes, storyboards, and user flows to illustrate design concepts.

•  Collaborate with copywriters and creative leads to finalize designs.

•  Test graphics across media, adjusting based on feedback.

•  Ensure final layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

Accountability

•  Work is reviewed regularly by supervisors, with collaborative guidance provided.

•  Provide regular updates on project status to the manager.

•  Follow established procedures, with limited flexibility to deviate from them.

•  Work within established hours/budgets, with clear documentation and timely invoicing.

Requirements

•  Degree in Graphic Design or related field.

•  Proficiency in Figma (primary) and Adobe Creative Suite (secondary).

•  Strong visual skills, including typography, color, and layout.

•  Team-oriented with solid time management abilities.

•  Understanding of web design and user experience principles.
