One of our companies is currently looking for a Game Designer in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for designing engaging game systems, features, and mechanics for a new Hybrid Casual game. Your creative expertise will help balance in-game economies, support live events, and shape the overall player experience. You'll collaborate closely with product owners and development teams to bring new ideas to life while iterating on existing content to improve engagement and player retention. Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement new game systems, mechanics, and content to create an engaging player experience
  • Balance the game's economy, ensuring smooth gameplay progression and monetization strategies
  • Analyze existing game features and live events, making data-driven recommendations for improvements based on KPIs
  • Create detailed design documentation, including flowcharts, UI/UX mockups, and feature layouts, to communicate ideas clearly with development teams
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (artists, programmers, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of game features into the development process
  • Participate in playtesting sessions, gathering player feedback to refine and enhance game mechanics and systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep the game fresh and innovative

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a game designer in the mobile gaming industry, particularly with Casual or Hybrid Casual games
  • Proven track record of managing complex design projects in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, including mechanics, systems, economy design, monetization, and live operations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Deep knowledge of the gaming market and current trends, with a passion for mobile games, especially hybrid-casual and casual genres
  • Experience using design tools and technologies to conceptualize, create, and implement game features
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a positive, self-driven attitude
  • Proficiency in Unity is a plus
