We are looking for someone to join our purpose-led, high-growth scale-up in a Digital Product Designer position, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role exists to design user-centred digital products, integrating core financial functionalities with impact-driven solutions. The goal? To enhance usability and create a cohesive user experience that drives positive social and environmental outcomes. And the best bit, you'll get to work with some fantastic work mates!

About the Digital Product Designer Role

As part of our Digital Product team, you'll work end-to-end across UX and UI to design digital products that boost user satisfaction, drive engagement, and help position Future Group as a leader in financial and impact digital experiences.

Design

• Apply human-centred design principles and best practices to craft thoughtful, user centred solutions and experiences
• Help your squad spot product problems and opportunities, guiding design decisions that align with both business objectives and user needs
• Own the design system within your squad and drive enhancements that keep things cohesive, scalable, and human-centred.
• Advocate for user needs, knowing when to push back on decisions that may compromise the user experience

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure design solutions meet project requirements
• Collaborate with external teams to understand the broader product landscape, gather data and content, and shape the direction
• Facilitate workshops to foster collaboration and generate innovative design solutions.
• Present your work with clarity, so that everyone gets the why behind your designs

Learning & Innovation

• Keep your design toolkit sharp—always levelling up your tools, systems, and techniques.
• Stay curious—experiment with new methods and approaches that push your craft forward.
• Keep tabs on what's next—whether it's a new tool, a trend, or a mindset shift, bring it back to the team.
• Share your wins, lessons, and "oops" moments—we learn faster when we learn together.

• Believes in Future Group's mission and has a passion for moving Australia's money out of fossil-fuels and into renewable energy
• Believes in using the power of money to build a sustainable and equitable world
• Has a solid grounding in human-centred design—methodologies, best practices, the whole shebang!—to create thoughtful, user centred solutions and experiences
• Brings an intense curiosity and proactive energy to push concepts, explore ideas and create solutions.

Some nice-to-haves but are not essential are:

• You're confident in Figma—and if you've dabbled with Token Studio or wrangled design tokens before, that's icing on the cake!
• You've got a sharp eye for interaction design, and if motion design's your thing, we'd love to see it.
