About Cinecore Games:

Cinecore Games is developing a new tabletop war game. We're looking for a 2D Artist to join our team for a two-month project to help bring our newest game to life. This is a fantastic opportunity for an artist with a passion for character design, card illustration, and world-building.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled 2D Artist to work on a variety of assets for our upcoming game, including character sheets, action cards, and data cards. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing detailed character art, creating cohesive illustration sets, and adapting artwork for various formats. This role will require attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to follow specific art direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Character Design:
• 4 original character sheets
• Each with front and back views (some may need side views).
• Each character sheet should be fully colored and ready for marketing use.
• Characters should be designed with the intention of serving as 3D miniature reference
• Data Cards:
• 4 cards with newly developed characters
• 16 cards featuring pre-existing characters, redrawn to match the new look.
• Only front pose used on data cards
• Action Cards:
• Each card with two variants, one for each of the two factions in the main box set.
• Faction & Linked Cards:
• Each of the two factions in the game will require custom faction and linked cards.
• Design a total of 20 cards (10 per faction), ensuring that each card design reflects the distinct visual identity of its respective faction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in 2D character design and illustration.
• Ability to adapt art style to match established aesthetics and create cohesive illustrations.
• Familiarity with tabletop card game art styles is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to receive and implement feedback effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Project Timeline:

• This is a contract-based role for a duration of 2 months, with the completion of 44 total items required by the end of the project. This position has a project rate of $4,000 with a potential of a full time hire after the contracted project.
