Your RoleAs Senior Merchandising Manager, you’ll be the architect of Arbor’s global product selection and supplier strategy. You’ll shape our product assortment, negotiate competitive terms, and ensure unbeatable quality—strengthening Arbor’s position as the go-to platform for building materials and home improvement solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Product Vision: Curate a world-class assortment of domestic and international building materials and home improvement products aligned with evolving market trends and customer needs.
  • Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and onboard best-in-class suppliers around the globe, negotiating favorable pricing, contracts, and lead times for optimal value.
  • Pricing & Profitability: Develop and implement winning pricing strategies that strike the perfect balance between competitiveness and profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing and operations teams on merchandising campaigns, promotional strategies, and optimal product placement to boost brand visibility and sales.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage real-time analytics on global market trends, competitor movements, and historical sales data to refine product selection, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build robust, enduring supplier relationships that ensure quality, reliability, and consistent innovation.
  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Design and maintain comprehensive supplier and category management scorecards to monitor performance, maintain accountability, and drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Expertise: At least 4 years in merchandising, sourcing, or procurement—preferably in building materials, home improvement, construction, or adjacent industries.
  • International Negotiation Chops: A track record of excelling in global supplier negotiations, contract management, and relationship building.
  • Strategic Merchandising Vision: Hands-on experience shaping product assortments, pricing models, and inventory strategies in dynamic markets.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to turn data into actionable insights—whether it’s forecasting demand or refining product mix and pricing.
  • Global Market Savvy: In-depth understanding of international market dynamics, sourcing best practices, and emerging industry trends.
  • Organizational Excellence: A proven capacity to juggle multiple priorities and projects, keeping everything on track in a fast-paced environment.
  • World-Class Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to successfully partner with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Tech Proficiency: Skilled in merchandising tools, sourcing software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions.
