Are you a creative, self-motivated social media enthusiast with a passion for storytelling and strategy? Akama is looking for a talented Social Media Contractor to join our team on a part-time basis!

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with Akama’s mission and goals
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.)
- Monitor engagement, respond to messages/comments, and build community online
- Analyse performance metrics and optimise content accordingly
- Work closely with the team to align campaigns with ongoing programmes and events
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand or organisation
- Strong understanding of content creation, design tools (e.g. Canva), and platform trends
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and bring fresh ideas
- Passion for social impact, education, and inclusive storytelling
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills
- Knowledge of or connection to the causes we champion
