Located in Dripping Springs, just outside Austin, Texas, the Pontious Ranch House designed by OWIU is a remarkable blend of Californian, Chinese, and Japanese cultural influences. This unique home showcases a balance in hybridity, reflecting the personal identity of its owner, health and wellness influencer Remi Ishizuka.
Architectural Design
The OWIU studio infused the traditional ranch house with elements of Asian minimalism, drawing inspiration from the food, art, and family traditions that shaped Ishizuka’s life. The founders, Joel Wong and Amanda Gunawan, faced the challenge of modernizing the rustic home while preserving its historical significance.
