Comic Artist Job Summary:

We are looking for Comic Artist to develop a 30 page comic book, both digital and traditional. You will be tasked with developing a set of 6 characters, 2 primary and 4 secondary. Vision and scripts will be provided. We’re looking for someone that can run with the information they’re given and produce a final product onetime and within budget. Comic Artist Responsibilities:

• Develop and sketch character designs and environments.
• Create storyboards and thumbnails for comic panels.
• Draw and ink comic pages based on scripts and storyboards.
• Collaborate with writers to ensure accurate visual representation of narrative.
• Color comic pages either digitally or traditionally.
• Revise artwork based on feedback from editors and writers.
• Meet tight deadlines to ensure timely publication.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in comic art.

Comic Artist Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of artistic styles and techniques.
• Experience using digital art software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Clip Studio Paint.
• Knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and composition.
• Familiarity with comic book history and genres.
• Excellent storytelling and narrative skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with writers and editors.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Previous experience creating comic book art.
• Passion for comics and graphic storytelling.
• Proficiency in traditional and digital drawing techniques.
• Ability to create dynamic and engaging illustrations.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
• Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback.
