Software Engineer

Menlo Security is looking for an Engineer to join our email and document isolation team. This team makes sure our users can safely email, download and upload files and preview their documents in our secure cloud, protecting end users from malware and phishing, and protecting our corporate customers from data exfiltration. The products this team develops are a vital part of our secure enterprise browser. The ideal candidate is eager to learn more about security, has experience in programming languages like Python, Go, JS / NodeJS, and can solve technical problems. What You’ll Do

• Participate in all aspects of designing, building and delivering solutions, learning from senior engineers
• Identify and resolve software defects by reviewing log errors and metrics
• Collaborate with the product development, operations and QA teams
• Research new technologies to enhance our products
• Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure code quality
• Conduct code and design reviews for peers

Who You Are

• You are a software developer with experience using one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, JS / NodeJS
• You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• You have experience with software development in a Linux environment
• You have knowledge of HTTPS and networking
• You enjoy solving problems and are solution oriented
• You are proactive, self-motivated, and can learn new things with little guidance
• You are highly organized and thorough, with critical attention to detail and documentation

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Proven experience building large scale web applications and REST APIs
• Solid experience with Cloud services such as AWS and/or GCP
• Experience with web development: JS, JQuery and CSS
• Knowledge of Tornado web application framework and test automation
• Experience with containers, docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud infrastructure development technologies such as Terraform
