Our client is a high-growth, cloud-based SaaS subscription business, delivering governance, risk management, and compliance services to over 4,000 public and private sector clients. They operate across 20+ sectors, including construction, transport, retail, hospitality, education, facilities and property management, manufacturing, and both local and central government.

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Senior Developer with approximately 7 years of commercial experience to help build a new product from the ground up. While a full-stack background is preferred, candidates with strong front-end or server-side development expertise will also be considered. You’ll be joining a dynamic and entrepreneurial development team working in a fast-paced, agile, and business-aligned environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to a brand-new cloud-native product's architecture, design, and development.
• Collaborate with team members, product managers, and the wider business to deliver high-quality, scalable code.
• Write, test, and maintain clean and efficient code across the stack.
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance across the technology stack.
• Uphold high development standards, particularly around security and scalability.
• Work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment, with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, with expertise in frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
• Strong experience with cloud deployment tools—preferably Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Knowledge of secure development practices and cybersecurity risks relevant to large B2B SaaS platforms.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and performance tuning skills across full-stack environments.
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and highly organised.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and vector databases.
• Exposure to free-text data matching and complex data parsing.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
