Freelance Technical AI Partner

IMPROMPTU studio is seeking a Freelance Technical AI Partner to collaborate on the implementation of TOVA (Tone of Voice Assistant) — an AI-powered system that helps brands scale their unique voice across channels with consistency, autonomy, and precision.

You will work alongside our strategic and creative teams to develop, integrate, and maintain custom language models for our clients in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries.

This is not a purely technical position — it’s a collaboration between technology, language, and design.

We’re looking for a professional who understands both the engineering logic of AI systems and the aesthetic and ethical considerations behind how technology interacts with culture and brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy custom Large Language Model (LLM) architectures (using Mistral, Qwen, Ollama, or similar).
• Implement integrations between TOVA and client environments (e.g., Notion, CMS, CRM, e-commerce platforms).
• Manage data processing pipelines for model training, ensuring compliance with GDPR and privacy protocols.
• Set up secure hosting environments (cloud or self-hosted, depending on client needs).
• Collaborate with IMPROMPTU’s creative and linguistic teams to refine model outputs through qualitative testing.
• Provide technical documentation and assist in the onboarding of client teams.
• Ensure long-term maintainability and retraining protocols for each deployed TOVA instance.

Technical profileRequired skills:

• Proven experience working with LLMs and NLP frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI API, Mistral AI, etc.).
• Knowledge of Python, APIs, and model fine-tuning workflows.
• Familiarity with data security and privacy standards (GDPR, DPA).
• Experience with cloud and local deployment environments (AWS, Azure, or self-hosted).
• Ability to create scalable architectures and integrate with third-party systems.

Preferred experience:

• Background in creative technology, AI for content, or brand-related applications.
• Understanding of editorial workflows, tone of voice systems, and content pipelines.
• Sensitivity toward design, aesthetics, and communication culture.

Collaboration model

• Freelance / project-based role with potential for long-term partnership.
• Average project duration: 6–8 weeks per client (from discovery to implementation).
• Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of strategists, designers, and content specialists.
• Fully remote work, with preference for professionals based in Barcelona or EU time zones for coordination purposes.
• Flexible schedule, asynchronous communication encouraged.
