Why this role exists: This role exists to architect and deliver scalable, high-performance web interfaces. You'll help us drive user engagement and shape our core product direction by owning the frontend architecture, mentoring the engineering team, and championing UI/UX best practices from initial design all the way to deployment. What you'll drive:Architecture & Strategy

  • Architect scalable and maintainable front-end solutions using React, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Drive the adoption of efficient state management and modular build processes (e.g., Webpack, module federation).
  • Design resilient, failure-tolerant systems that account for load, performance, and web security (CORS, CSP, OWASP).

Delivery & Execution

  • Ship complex, high-quality code to production in a timely manner to meet crucial business expectations.
  • Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability by deeply tuning the event loop and rendering steps (style, layout, paint, composite).
  • Validate code reliability by building out comprehensive testing infrastructure (Jest, React Testing Library, unit/integration testing).

Team & Leadership

  • Mentor junior developers and elevate team standards through thorough, constructive code reviews.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Delivery Managers to align technical execution with overarching business goals.
  • Unblock the team by debugging deeply rooted technical issues and creating Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new technologies.

What makes you a GR8 fit:Must-have

  • 5+ years in a senior frontend engineering role with a strong track record of shipping complex, user-facing web applications.
  • Deep JS/TS Mastery: Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (event loop, closures, async programming) and advanced TypeScript (generics, advanced types).
  • React Expertise: Strong command of React core concepts, component lifecycle, rendering optimization, and modern state managers (Redux, Zustand, etc.).
  • Web Fundamentals: Expert knowledge of the browser rendering pipeline, DOM manipulation, semantic HTML5, and CSS preprocessors (Sass/Less).
  • Tooling & Testing: Proficiency in configuring build tools (Webpack) and writing comprehensive automated tests.
  • Communication: The ability to clearly articulate complex architectural decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English and fluent Ukrainian.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with microservice/event-driven architectures and client-server communication (REST APIs, WebSockets).
  • Experience with Cloud/DevOps practices (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, basic AWS/GCP/Azure knowledge).
  • Basic understanding of backend database concepts (SQL/NoSQL) and broader system analysis.
