Product Designer

Position Overview We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our growing team. This role blends design expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration to shape the future of our products. As a Product Designer at Goldcast, you will create visually compelling, user-centered designs while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product experiences. This role requires someone with a passion for high-quality design and the ability to think holistically about our platform. This role reports to our Head of Design. Location: This is a remote position but candidates must be located in near Boston. What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, and engineers to understand user needs, gather requirements, and create seamless product designs.
• Take ownership of the entire design process—from research and ideation to execution and delivery.
• Raise the bar for design quality, ensuring all work is visually cohesive, innovative, and aligned with user needs.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across the platform.
• Develop and execute a strategic design vision that aligns with company goals, delivering work that is both beautiful and functional.
• Facilitate communication with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create unified workflows and cohesive product experiences.
• Design solutions that are visually appealing and highly usable, ensuring they meet both user needs and business objectives.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the design process and elevate the user experience.

Who You Are

• 2-5 years of experience in product design.
• You can connect design decisions to larger product and business goals.
• You create user-centered designs that are scalable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional. Experience building and maintaining design systems is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers.
• Skilled in design software like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create exceptional user experiences and visually stunning designs.
• A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to collaborate effectively with engineers.
• Curiosity about emerging tools like Midjourney, Cursor.ai, or similar, and how they can enhance design workflows.
• Experience using, maintaining, or evolving design systems to ensure consistency across teams.

Compensation Goldcast is a remote organization with access to an office in Boston for occasional gatherings. Goldcast.io offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000, with flexibility based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
