Frontend Developer

Freemind Seattle is looking for a skilled full-time Frontend Developer to work remotely from California, Oregon, or Washington State.

Your primary responsibility will be designing and implementing custom Java applications for a web-based platform. You should have a strong understanding of the Java programming language, excellent problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities:

• Develop user interfaces, business logic, and server-side components for web applications using Java
• Work closely with web designers to realize visual design intent and display web content effectively
• Conduct software system testing and validation procedures, and modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance
• Coordinate with other team members to implement new features and fix software issues
• Consult with key stakeholders on project status and technical issues
• Keep up with current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education

• Create marketing visual assets based on key product features, scenarios, personas and scripted interactions
• Produce high quality supporting visuals to emphasize key product features and messages
• Collaborate with UX Designers to update and create Figma assets and prototypes
• Ensure all assets align to design guidelines and style guides
• Work in a V-Team with Subject Matter Experts, Copywriters and Scriptwriters to support the creation of required scenario based assets such as documents, images and other content
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and accuracy of designs and content through the demo lifecycle
• Create high quality demo assets with utilizing demo creation platform tools
• Other supplementary duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A strong primary focus on Front End technologies
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Angular)
• Knowledge of RESTful services and APIs
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• An ability to make technical trade-offs, considering both the technical and the business needs and deliver solutions with a sense of urgency
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of the use of effective storytelling as a marketing tool
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Visual Studio, Teams, Microsoft Office, Windows
• Excellent cross-group collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines without direct supervision
• Reprise experience a plus but not required

Education/Experience:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 11 Developer or similar are a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).
