Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Freelance M&A Associate in the Luxury & Consumer Sector. The M&A Associate will be responsible for conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and analyzing financial data. The candidate will collaborate with private equity firms and assist in strategic decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating potential acquisition targets, preparing detailed financial reports, and performing market analyses.
About the Client
Luxury Recruit is representing a founder-led boutique Capital Advisory firm operating at the intersection of executive search, M&A advisory, and family office engagement.
The firm partners with premium and growth-stage businesses in the luxury, consumer, and lifestyle sectors, supporting founders and investors with capital raises, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
This engagement supports the firm’s first live transaction and contributes to the development of its broader Capital Advisory platform, offering hands-on exposure to live deals and strategic execution.
The Role
We are seeking a Freelance M&A Associate to support the execution of active capital advisory mandates and related strategic projects.
You’ll work directly with the Founder on investment materials, investor mapping, financial analysis, and process coordination — gaining exposure to live M&A and fundraising activity while helping shape the operating model of a next-generation boutique advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare investment and transaction materials (teasers, investor decks, management presentations)
- Conduct investor and market research (family offices, strategic buyers, UHNW investors)
- Assist with financial benchmarking, valuation analysis, and transaction support
- Manage CRM tracking of investor pipeline, outreach, and follow-up activities
- Draft communications, meeting notes, and progress updates
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and professional advisors
- Contribute to internal best practices, templates, and case study documentation
Ideal Profile
- 2–6 years’ experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or private equity
- Strong analytical and presentation skills (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication — concise, professional, and client-ready
- Background or strong interest in luxury, consumer, or family office sectors
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable working in a lean, founder-led setup
- Availability: part-time or project-based (approx. 2–3 days/week)Engagement Terms
- Freelance / Contract (3–6 months) with potential for full-time transition
- Remote or hybrid (London or Dubai time zones preferred)
- Competitive day rate or project-based retainer (depending on experience)
- Direct exposure to founder, family office networks, and live deal execution
