Web Redesign Project Lead – Helena College (Contract)

Location: Remote (occasional virtual meetings with Helena, MT team)

Duration: January 2026 – November 2026 (Contract)

Role Overview:

CCI is seeking an experienced Web Redesign Project Lead to oversee the complete redevelopment of the College’s institutional website.

The consultant or small team will modernize the site’s design, navigation, and accessibility while ensuring seamless integration with Cascade CMS (Hannon Hill) — the College’s existing content management system.

This role combines strategic planning, UX design leadership, and technical implementation to deliver a WCAG 2.1–compliant, user-centered digital experience aligned with Helena College’s mission and brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing Helena College website, including content, navigation, and CMS structure.
• Lead stakeholder interviews and user research to identify goals, priorities, and key performance indicators.
• Develop a modern, responsive website design that enhances usability and reflects Helena College’s visual identity.
• Build accessible, CMS-compatible templates and modules in Cascade CMS (Hannon Hill).
• Ensure full compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• Manage QA and browser/device testing for performance, responsiveness, and functionality.
• Provide documentation, training materials, and post-launch support to Helena College staff.
• Deliver milestone-based progress reports and collaborate closely with the College’s project management team.

Qualifications (Mandatory & Preferred):

• Minimum 5+ years of professional web design and development experience.
• Proven expertise with Cascade CMS (Hannon Hill) setup, template creation, and integration.
• Mandatory: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft IIS Web Servers, including deployment, configuration, and optimization.
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.).
• Solid understanding of UI/UX design, accessibility standards, and web best practices.
• Successful track record delivering WCAG 2.1–compliant websites.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
• Experience with higher-education or public-sector web projects preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, and cloud hosting (AWS) a plus.
