Video and Graphics Designer

Remote Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a Video and Graphics Designer to support one of the world's largest software development companies. Project Overview In this role as a Video and Graphic Designer for a team of Learning and Development professionals, you will work alongside the instructional designers and training specialists to create assets that support the training programs, helping communicate the training objective, to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day will include building graphical elements for training decks and programs. The right candidate will have initiative and self-direction, to not only accomplish requested projects in a proactive manner but also see and execute the next thing without being asked. Juggling, scoping, and prioritizing work across multiple projects requires a healthy level of cross-team coordination and agility to ensure a high-quality bar for visual design and consistency. The L&D team has a multitude of critical programs to deliver in this fiscal year, so speed and agility will be critical. To keep up with the team, the person filling this role will be comfortable working through ambiguity and should be able to drive clarity with consistent and quality visual storytelling. Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of industry experience in visual communications design, product and/or user experience design.
• 1 year of minimum experience with design tools.
• Camtasia video editing skills as well as Adobe skills for graphic design, that demonstrates quality design work with a solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and grids in line with accessibility standards.
• Interest and eagerness to learn and incorporate business storytelling best practices as well as human-centered design process into daily workflow.
• Ability to think creatively and critically about ambiguous design challenges.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills & the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines.
• Ability to own and drive projects independently as a design SME but also the humility and courage to ask for help where needed.
• Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in a complex and highly technical product space.
• Some experience and fluency in design tools such as PowerPoint, Figma, Adobe CC, etc. and an understanding of leveraging design systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with animation, video editing, prototyping, and 3D visual work (C4D/Blender) is not required, but desired.
