Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 9/1/2025 (with potential for extension)

Location: Remote

Schedule: This is NOT a full-time job. It is project based and work will be assigned on an as-needed basis; there is no set schedule. Work hours can fluctuate between 0 to 40 hours per week.

Pay Range: $45 to $60 per hour

NOTE 1: Candidates must have their own equipment.

Position Summary:

This exciting opportunity is with a well-known media & entertainment company. The Merchandise Product Designer will be responsible for concepting, ideation, trend/mood boards, and graphic design. As assortments are chosen for various theatrical show productions, the Designer will visualize a mixture of the show brand with compelling product concepts. Directed by the Product Developer, this role requires bringing creative ideas to the table and the ability to clean and prepare files to bring the vision to reality. Qualified candidates should possess experience with consumer/merchandise products doing product design, NOT packaging design.

Position Breakdown:

• Trend/Mood Board Preparation: pulling imagery and color palettes to evoke a mood and direction for further product development - 10%

• Graphic Design: art interpretations of elements of theatrical shows as well as repeated pattern and icon creation - 60%

• Typography: logo and font usage as well as mixing typographic into greater graphic design -15%

• Preparation of files - 15%

Qualifications:

• Must be strong in graphic design

• Expert user in Illustrator and/or Photoshop

• Experience with fonts/typography

• Knowledge of color story and color matching

• Experience with other consumer products agencies doing product design (NOT packaging design)

• Intermediate user in the remaining Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) - Preferred

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Art and/or Graphic Design - Preferred
